Terms of Service

1. General Provisions

1.1. LinguaLadies (operated by [Legal Entity Name], hereinafter — the "Platform") provides an information service for finding and hiring professional interpreters ("Translators") for businesses and individuals ("Customers").

1.2. The Platform acts as an intermediary only and is not a direct provider of interpretation services. The service agreement is concluded between the Customer and the Translator.

1.3. By registering on the Platform, the user confirms they have read and fully accepted these Terms of Service.

1.4. The Platform reserves the right to modify these Terms with at least 7 days' notice to users.

2. How the Service Works

2.1. The Customer posts an order specifying the task, dates, language, and budget. Posting an order is free of charge.

2.2. Translators apply for orders. The Customer selects a Translator and confirms the booking.

2.3. After confirming the booking, the Customer pays for the services through the Platform. The Translator's participation is not guaranteed until payment is received.

2.4. Funds are held by the Platform until the order is completed. Upon confirmation of completion by the Customer, funds are transferred to the Translator minus the Platform's service fee.

2.5. The Platform's service fee is 20% of the Translator's rate, paid by the Customer on top of the Translator's fee.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1. Cancellation before payment: The Customer may cancel the order at any time before payment without any charges.

3.2. Cancellation after payment — in advance (more than 48 hours before the order starts): The Customer may contact support. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. The Platform's service fee (20%) is non-refundable.

3.3. Cancellation after payment — less than 48 hours before the order starts: The Customer may open a dispute through the Platform. The Platform will review the case within 2 business hours (8:00–23:00). A cancellation fee may apply to compensate the Translator for the disruption. The amount is determined individually.

3.4. Translator did not show up: The Customer opens a dispute. Upon confirmation of non-appearance, the Customer receives a full refund including the service fee.

3.5. Force majeure (illness, event cancellation, natural disasters): both parties must notify the Platform within 2 hours. Refunds are considered individually upon provision of supporting documents.

3.6. All disputes and refund requests are handled via the "Open Dispute" feature in your account or through support: Support@lingualadies.ru.

4. Rights and Responsibilities

4.1. The Translator agrees to: arrive at the agreed time and location; possess the required language skills and qualifications; notify the Customer and Platform of any cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.

4.2. The Customer agrees to: pay for the order in a timely manner; provide the Translator with appropriate working conditions; notify of any cancellation as early as possible.

4.3. The Platform is not responsible for the quality of interpretation services, as it acts solely as an intermediary. Quality-related claims should be directed to the Translator.

4.4. The Platform's liability is limited to the amount paid for the order in question.

5. Prohibition of Off-Platform Transactions

5.1. Both parties agree not to conduct transactions directly with each other, bypassing the Platform, for a period of 12 months following the first contact through LinguaLadies.

5.2. Sharing personal contact details (phone numbers, emails, messengers) through the Platform's chat is prohibited and automatically blocked by the system.

5.3. Violation of this clause may result in account suspension and claims for damages equivalent to the Platform's commission on the estimated transactions.

6. Personal Data

6.1. By registering on the Platform, the user consents to the processing of their personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

6.2. The Platform collects: name, email address, phone number (optional), and payment details (Translators only, stored securely).

6.3. Personal data is not shared with third parties except as required by applicable law.
